Lectures

The Society delivers two special lectures at its annual conference, the Cochrane and the Pemberton lectures. In both cases the Society invites a guest speak to present on a topic or research project.

The Cochrane Lecture was introduced in 1990 to honour the memory of Archie Cochrane, whilst The Pemberton Lecture was started in 2007 in honour of John Pemberton, the founder of the Society in 1956.
